  • Constitution of the Republic of Yemen1, 1991

Yemen’s Constitution states in its 35th Article that: “environmental protection is the collective responsibility of the state and the community at large. Each individual shall have a religious and national duty to protect the environment.”

In 1995, Yemen adopted a Law on the environment protection (only in Arabic).
