The Constitution of the Principality of Monaco does not provide for environmental protection or natural resources.

The Ministry Department of Environment and Urbanism has in charge the protection of the Environment. The Direction of the Environment is the body concerned by the application of environmental policies and sustainable development strategy. It also shall ensure the communication, outreach and information about environmental matters for the public.

Monaco’s information on environment and natural resources can be found on the Foundation Prince Albert II de Monaco for Sustainable Development’s website. The Foundation, among others, provides annual reports on the environmental state, focusing on climate change, biodiversity and water issues:
